Can we FOAM-X it? That’s the buzzword among AUSCOIL clients following the success of its revolutionary new technology for treating problematic coal seam gas (CSG) wells, which is driving a new expansion phase for the FKG Group company.

The work of some three years of research and development, FOAM-X has quickly won industry acceptance, with more than 60 wells set for “FOAM-Xing” by mid-2020.

“Many CSG wells produce a significant amount of undesirable solids, requiring regular and expensive workovers,” explained AUSCOIL’s General Manager, Diego Tarre Moser.

“Gas and service companies have tried for more than 10 years to treat this problem with only limited success. Now thanks to FOAM-X there is a technical solution to this longstanding issue in Queensland.”

AUSCOIL has also recently welcomed its first cementing unit and commissioned its second coiled tubing unit, which has been designed to enable super-efficient operations with smaller size pipes.

“Combined with our technical and operational know-how and new cementing unit, this positions AUSCOIL as the leading service provider for plugging and abandoning CSG wells,” Diego added.

Thanks to its innovation success, AUSCOIL is enjoying rapid growth and will soon move into its new tailor-made facilities in Charlton after previously being hosted at FKG Group headquarters in Toowoomba.

“Innovation is key to our growth and we’ve only just started with our new technologies. These are exciting times for AUSCOIL, thanks to FKG Group’s support and our people, who have all made a contribution to our success,” Diego said.
