Arcadis has today announced that they are pleased to welcome Jacqui Banks to its Global Cities Team as City Executive Melbourne.

Banks is an experienced leader in urban renewal, precincts, place-making, planning, urban design, and building and infrastructure delivery. Most recently Banks played a leading role in the planning and development of the Fishermans Bend Urban Renewal Area, Australia’s largest Urban Renewal Project. Banks has worked on planning policy and delivery at local and state government levels, having also previously worked as an adviser to a Victorian Minister for Planning.

Jacqui Banks, Melbourne City Executive, Arcadis: “I’m very excited to join a company that shares my passion to bring a human focus to major infrastructure projects. We can’t design and build in isolation, we have to ensure the urban environment around infrastructure meets the needs of communities and businesses.”

Stephen Taylor, Australian Cities Director, Arcadis: “Jacqui’s strong planning, policy and precinct-level experience will bring an additional perspective to our clients in Melbourne so that they can maximise the social and economic outcomes of their investment decisions.

Arcadis’ passion is to improve quality of life, and key to that is an absolute focus on creating great places for everyone who experiences our cities.”

Arcadis, the leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, is looking forward to continuing its growth within the Australian market with this new addition to the team.
