Victoria General Manager Rod James says the new
team will play a central role in Victoria’s urban development scene.
“We now have one of Victoria’s largest urban development teams,
an expanded buildings and structures team, and one of the largest and
most experienced survey teams across the state”.
“This enables us to help clients
by delivering complementary capabilities and gives us the scale to
compete for larger projects,” said Rod.
Despite recent market softening in established urban markets, Victoria
is experiencing an unprecedented period of urban development in
conjunction with a transport construction boom.
Large-scale greenfield
residential development in the peri-urban and
regional areas is complimenting strong residential development activity
in middle ring
Melbourne locations serviced by existing transport networks.
The acquisition of TGM has also enabled Cardno to strengthen its
presence in regional Victoria.
“TGM is a leading player in regional Victoria with a strong market
position in
Geelong and
Ballarat”.
“This provides us with a footprint in regional Victoria which will be
important as the rate of urban development in those areas continues at
recent strong levels,” said Rod.
TGM will formally rebrand to Cardno TGM on 1 July 2019.
