Seymour Whyte Steps Up

Civil contracting firm Seymour Whyte – for the first time in the company’s 30-year history – has specialised paving equipment and crew.
Seymour Whyte has purchased two concrete batch plants, two main line pavers, a material transfer placer, a single lane paver and two texture curers.
Last month, the crew placed the first section of sub-base concrete pavement on a 49km upgrade on Australia’s eastern seaboard where Seymour Whyte has successfully self-performed 2,500,000m3 of earthwork and delivered 20 bridges. Of those, half were self-performed.
Seymour Whyte Regional Manager – Northern Will MacDonald said since joining multinational conglomerate VINCI Construction in October 2017, the company had accelerated its vertical integration of construction activities.
