Creating Jobs and Building Brighter Futures: New Government School for Palmerston

14 August 2018

NT Government: The Territory Labor Government has brought forward construction of a new primary school in Palmerston by two years, Education Minister Selena Uibo announced today.

The tender for stage one of the Zuccoli Primary School, which will deliver scores of local jobs and ease classroom pressure in the Territory’s fastest growing region, was released yesterday.

Construction is set to begin within the coming months and the school is expected to open in Term 1, 2020.

Stage one of the major construction project encompasses a pre-school with capacity for up to 88 students and eight primary school classrooms with capacity for more than 200 students.

The Government has put Territory families first to fast-track the opening of the school from its initial 2022 scheduled opening.
