New appointments in Communication and Stakeholder Engagement spearhead Aurecon’s Advisory growth

Aurecon:
Aurecon continues to strengthen its
award-winning communication and
stakeholder engagement
abilities through the
appointment of six new leaders across the
company’s global Advisory arm.
Based in locations throughout Australia and
New Zealand, the new leaders will work closely with Aurecon’s
regional leadership cohort to spearhead the company’s growth plans for
its multidisciplinary Advisory team.
The appointments come at an opportune time as Aurecon celebrates a win
at the 2018
National Association of Women in Construction
(NAWIC) NSW Awards for Excellence, in the Team Innovation category, for
its work on Sydney’s
Wynyard Station Upgrade.
The Communication and Stakeholder Engagement team worked cohesively to
deliver exceptional results for the project, client and wider community
through the delivery of a comprehensive engagement strategy, including
an industry first smartphone app,
NovoView, to allow real-time
communication with stakeholders.
With more than 110 000 pedestrian movements daily, keeping the Wynyard
Station open for business 24/7 proved to be a complex engineering
challenge that recognised the Aurecon team as the enablers to keep
stakeholders informed and supportive of the upgrades.
Aurecon’s new appointments include:

Nicole Walton as the Regional Service Line Leader, WA, recently joined Aurecon from her previous role of Executive Director of Communication and Strategy at Main Roads Western Australia.

Christine Ammunson joins Aurecon as the Global Lead Strategic Communications. In her previous position at the New Zealand Human Rights Commission, she led the Commission’s award winning anti-racism campaign, as well as a successful bid for an independent inquiry into the abuse of children and disabled adults in state care.

Carol Greensmith takes on the function of Aurecon’s Regional Service Line Leader, New Zealand. She held a previous role on Auckland’s City Rail Link project where she established the communication and stakeholder strategy and led a team to deliver on this major development.

Fleur Laurence has been appointed 2IC Regional Service Line Leader, NSW/ACT. She joined Aurecon in May 2017 from Ausgrid where she held a Senior Community Relations position, providing strategic and effective community engagement services to facilitate the delivery of major infrastructure projects and programmes.

Tebogo Sebego, an existing member of Aurecon, takes up the Global Lead Social function. Based in Tshwane, South Africa, Sebego is one of a select number of Bank of South Africa endorsed social facilitators.

Belinda Coleman has been appointed as the Regional Service Line Leader, QLD/NT. As a member of the Aurecon Communication and Stakeholder Engagement management team since June 2016, she has held lead roles in the development of market strategy, project development, client engagement, resource planning and business development. This includes holding a key position at Transport for NSW as the Community Engagement Lead for the Future Transport Strategy 2056.
