Cardno acquisition grows utilities management and coordination expertise

Cardno: Cardno is pleased to announce the acquisition of SureSearch, a utility location and management business that employs 52 staff in offices in the NSW Central Coast, Western Sydney and the Illawarra.

SureSearch was founded in 2006 and has expertise in underground utility location, mapping management and non-destructive excavation. They service a wide range of clients from domestic homeowners to tier-one contractors and government agencies. SureSearch has sound expertise in the areas of utility locating and mapping for road, rail, major infrastructure and residential projects. Offices and depots are complementary to Cardno’s locations in the NSW Central Coast, Western Sydney and the Illawarra.

“SureSearch will further strengthen Cardno’s existing expertise in utility management, survey, infrastructure design, geospatial services and project management,” said Cardno CEO and Managing Director, Andy Goodwin.

SureSearch founder Glen Wakelin will continue to lead the business branded as SureSearch – A Cardno Company.
