CH2M highlights new International Organization for Standardization standards and guidance

27 November 2017

CH2M’s Regulatory Update helps industry and government agencies plan for and comply with sustainability and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements. This month, we have also prepared a supplemental Regulatory Update that provides information and guidance on recently released ISO standards and guidance. Included in this supplement are information on the following:

All the subject standards are formatted into ISO’s universal Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) framework that encourages comprehensive management systems that address multiple operational aspects. Implementation of a combined management system can help users define and plan their legal requirements and other commitments while implementing objectives and targets to improve efficiency, reduce regulatory violations, and foster continual improvement.

CH2M’s Environmental Assets and Environmental Health and Safety practices help clients assesses business risk while conforming with requirements. Along with Regulatory Updates, CH2M’s regulatory analysis publication, EHS Check, is used by EHS professionals looking for insights and analysis of requirements to improve the effectiveness of their management programs. Combining detailed regulatory and engineering knowledge, environmental business management competency, and established agency relationships, the practice spans regulatory compliance, auditing, sustainability and climate adaptation consulting, as well as environmental and information systems management and reporting.
