Arup welcomes new Design Director for Urban Design, Caroline Stalker

Arup: Caroline Stalker, architect, urban designer and industry leader has joined Arup’s Brisbane office as a Design Director for Australia’s growing urban design team.

With over 30 years’ experience across a range of project types, including integrated transport, health and research, cities, sub-tropical and climate responsive designs, Caroline will advise on Arup’s various city shaping projects around the Region.

Caroline has served on and chaired awards juries in both architecture and urban design, and held advisory roles for government. She is a regular speaker at conferences promoting the value of design excellence and urban design thinking, and has a specialist research interest high density urbanism designed for the hot humid climates.

She is an Adjunct Professor of Creative Industries at QUT, a member of the State Government Urban Design and Places Panel, a member of the Property Council of Australia Cities Committee, an Honorary Life Fellow of the Urban Design Alliance of Queensland and sits on the Council of Tall Buildings and International Urban Habitat Urban Design Committee.
