Watpac appoints State Manager for NSW Construction business

Watpac Limited (‘Watpac’ or ‘Group’) has today announced the appointment of John Koerner to lead the Group’s New South Wales Construction business.

With more than 35 years of experience in the construction sector, Watpac Limited Managing Director, Martin Monro, said Mr Koerner was an outstanding addition to the business.

“We’ve undertaken a comprehensive process to find the right candidate for this key role and it is pleasing to now welcome Mr Koerner to the business,” Mr Monro said.

“His extensive experience in construction ranges from project management for a number of prominent projects nationally to management roles for the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and leading large design and project management teams.

“Mr Koerner has a thorough understanding of industry needs and client expectations, so we have no doubt his capabilities will enrich the success of the New South Wales business to date.”

With Watpac currently delivering projects with an end value of almost $3 billion, Mr Monro said the national construction business enters 2017 with a strong work-in-hand level.
