After 23 years with John Holland, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Glenn Palin has announced his retirement.

Mr Palin has made a significant contribution to John Holland during his career, which has included seven years as CEO, and the successful integration of John Holland as an integral part of CCCC Group.

During his time, he has been known for his loyalty and commitment to the business and its people, as well as his passion for safety.

Mr Palin said he had enjoyed an amazing journey with John Holland.

“Whilst it is difficult for me to envisage not leading John Holland through the next stage of its exciting growth and development, I am convinced that a renewed energy and fresh approach to this stage of our business strategy will best support its success,” he said.

“I have had the honour of being associated with many outstanding projects and worked with truly exceptional people.”   New CEO announced

Joseph (Joe) Barr has been appointed to the position of CEO of John Holland, commencing 14 November 2016.

Mr Barr has had an outstanding career in the construction industry, both domestically in Australia and internationally in the Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern regions. He has most recently been the CEO of Hansen Yuncken, a privately owned construction company in Australia. During this period, he has placed a major focus on strategy, innovation, development management, people development and market expansion.

The transition will occur over the coming months, with Mr Palin finishing with John Holland in December. Mr Palin will continue his association with John Holland as a Director of the Board.
