Transport for NSW Secretary, Tim Reardon today announced the appointment of Stephen Troughton as Deputy Secretary Infrastructure and Services at Transport for NSW.

Mr Troughton is currently Managing Director of Main Roads Western Australia and has extensive experience in major infrastructure and project management in both the public and private sector across Australia, the UK and Middle East.

The Deputy Secretary Infrastructure and Services oversees services and contracts for trains, buses, ferries and light rail, as well as delivering the massive infrastructure build now underway in NSW, including the $890 million Transport Access Program, new intercity train fleet and Parramatta and Newcastle light rail projects.

"There has never been a more exciting time to be part of transport in NSW," Mr Reardon said.

"Transport for NSW is getting on with delivering a record $38 billion infrastructure program, while at the same time making sure we continue to provide world class services every day for millions of customers across the state.

"I am pleased to welcome someone of Mr Troughton's calibre to the Transport for NSW team."

Mr Troughton will take up his position in July. The position was advertised after the departure of Fergus Gammie in March 2016 to take up the role of Chief Executive of Transport New Zealand.
