Greenland Group, Australia has appointed Brookfield Multiplex to build its $800 million Greenland Centre Sydney residential tower. Construction activity is expected to be seen on-site as soon as April with the project’s programme of works on track as per schedule.

GreenlandCentre Sydney is the group’s first landmark tower in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Located at 115 Bathurst Street, it will be Sydney’s tallest residential tower, comprising 478 apartments, a 172-room boutique hotel, 275 square metres of retail space and 2,000 square metres of floor space dedicated to Council’s creative hub. Only 12 apartments remain available after an unprecedented pre-sale period with one of the penthouses selling last week for over $10 million.

The design by BVN Donovan Hill and Woods Bagot is set to be an architectural tribute to the city of Sydney.

Sherwood Luo, Managing Director Greenland Group, Australia, said “We are delighted to be partnering with Brookfield Multiplex to construct this iconic and stunning city apartment building that will transform the Sydney skyline. A project of this scale and complexity needs the technical expertise and significant residential construction and development experience that Brookfield Multiplex can deliver.”

“For Brookfield Multiplex to be appointed to such an iconic new residential development is a considerable achievement for our team and we are excited to be a part of it. With our expertise in delivering complex high-rise apartment projects within busy CBD environments, we are confident we will deliver an outstanding project for Greenland,” said David Ghannoum Regional Managing Director of New South Wales at Brookfield Multiplex.

Brookfield Multiplex has extensive residential construction and development experience having built some of Sydney’s most exclusive and high quality towers including Lumiere, The Wharf, Woolloomooloo, Bennelong Centre and Manhattan Apartments.
