Lend Lease has today been named by Monash Health Translational Precinct as the managing contractor for the new Monash Translational Research Facility (TRF) in Melbourne.

The new facility constitutes a purpose built, cross-disciplinary translational research and clinical applications facility that will link to existing research and clinical services on the Monash Health site. The six level, 12,500sqm facility will be dedicated to translating medical research to improve healthcare.

Managing Director of Lend Lease’s Building business in Australia, Murray Coleman, said “We are extremely proud to be associated with Monash Health’s vision to translate innovative scientific discoveries into the world’s best healthcare and we know this project will make a real difference to the future health of Victorians.

“This announcement marks the third key health and research project to be delivered by Lend Lease in the Monash precinct. The world-class Monash Paediatric Hospital, Monash Green Chemicals project at Monash University and now the new Monash TRF will provide leading healthcare and research facilities for the south east region of Victoria”, added Mr Coleman.

Works are due to commence in early 2014 with major services diversion works to allow the substructure works to commence. Completion of the project is expected in late 2015.
